Senior Teaching Fellows Andrew Clancy and Colm Moore have been invited to participate at the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio in Ticino Switzerland in April. This school has, since its foundation in 1996, become one of the leading European centers for practice-driven teaching and research around the idea of territory and the making of place-specific architecture. Since its inception teaching staff at the Academia have included some of the most prominent European practitioners including Peter Zumthor, Valerio Olgiati, Mario Botta, Livio Vacchini, Luigi Snozzi, Jonathon Sergison and Grafton Architects.
Andrew and Colm’s participation will include teaching and reviewing student work at the Academia and will conclude their visit with a presentation on the work of their practice, Clancy Moore Architects and aspects and directions of the current Masters of Architecture programme at Queen’s University Belfast.
